Khaliun Enkhjarga and Art Critic John McDonald with Director Aniela Kos at Galeria Aniela GalleryThe exhibition by Gankhuyag Dolgordorj is officially open by John McDonald, the Art Critic for the Sydney Morning Herald and facilitated by Jan Meek former Senior Adviser National Gallery of Australia

Music: Ukulele Choir “NukeM” | Lively music for your pleasure

"Mongolia Interpreted" is the first ever exhibition in Australia by a major Mongolian artist. This an exciting exhibition that explores the artist's fascination with the myths of Mongolia's past as well as the vastness of the landscape and soft airiness of the natural fauna and floraboth of which govern the stroke of his brush and inform his choice of colours.

Gankhuyag has an inbuilt mastery of his canvas, which in many of the works is wood. The exhibition includes a series of masterful drawings that extend his theme in an exciting and moving way.

Artist Gankhuyag Dolgordorj with Director Aniela Kos and John McDonald Art Critic for the Sydney Morning Herald in Galeria Aniela Fine ArtGankhuyag's technique is both decorative and animistic at the same time mixing sand, stone mud lime, calcium and oils onto the wooden panel and then burning the images of the forest onto the highly toned and coloured surface. The result is magic!

The exhibition was curated by International Art Exhibition Co-ordinator Khaliun Enkhjargal. Khaliun saw the artist raw talent. Gankhuyag has exhibited in Mongolia and Hong Kong with instant success.

It  is 'a once-in-a-life-time opportunity' to view Arthur Boyd  iconic, previously unseen ‘Lost Bride' circa 1955 that pre-dates the artist original Bride series.

The 'Lost Bride' painting was concealed on two pieces of board, screwed to the base of Arthur Boyd’s art-trolley, and discovered totally by chance, by his son Jamie Boyd. Despite of the astonishing circumstances, the Lost Bride painting has survived almost six decades, now for the first time on public viewing NFS.

In 2012 Arthur Boyd ‘Bride' fetched $1.68 million.

The Boyd artistic dynasty began in 1886 with the marriage of Emma Minnie Boyd à Beckett (1858-1936) and Arthur Merric Boyd (1862-1940). Although mostly portray Australian landscape Boyd’s artists never abandoned the figure and remained masters of painting as well as bronze sculpture. The collection lays bare personal passions, desires and qualms, as well as the anxieties of the time and the fragility and resilience of human life embracing some of the most iconic series that include ‘Bride’, ‘Lovers’ ‘Europa’ and ‘Nudes’.
