This program
offers practical
experience to students.
Students assist in the preservation and conservation of Galeria Aniela
cultural heritage and a focus for cultural activities in the
region.
The course has been designed to balance the needs of the trainees with the needs
of the Gallery.
The Gallery requires friendly, conscientious, dedicated,
knowledgeable trainees, who love art and enjoy interacting with the public and promoting the
role of art as well as the Gallery and its collection. In return we offer
trainees to become a part of a stimulating ‘living project’ balanced with
practical experience, art appreciation and insights into the gallery work.
Trainees
are given an opportunity to gain experience
in;
cataloguing, filing, curetting exhibitions, painting and restoration, art appraisal, client’s contacts,
art sale and art gallery management, guiding, hanging an exhibition,
and or creative gardening in the Sculpture Park.
Trainees attend education
specific to exhibitions and carry out research and
can be involved in
a wide variety of projects. Before
any work is undertaken the students are given appropriate training by Galeria
Aniela management to ensure high standards are achieved.
Trainees
work
are an integral part of the gallery.
Galeria
Aniela
at any one time has over 100 works on display from the gallery's permanent collection. Apart from
a core of major works, exhibitions are changed on a rotating basis. Every couple
of months, one of the gallery areas will change its display. Also, there is a
constant flow of special works of art and major exhibitions.
Pre-booked trainees are included in the
Gallery Calendar and may attend corporate events and VIP
parties.
Trainees
have
access to the gallery library, preview exhibitions and the
cocktail parties,
cultural exchange as well as friendly and live art discussion.
If required, student
attending the training
program
may be "in residence" and have the free use of living
self-contained 4 star
accommodation. Resident students
provide their own food; linen and transport, cost of private telephone calls
must be reimbursed. Galeria
Aniela has no government funds and we are unable to provide
any financial assistance.
The training program is set in advance
and proposals should be submitted to the Galeria Aniela office.
Places are offered on the basis of application
proposals
and there is always a waiting list of
