Because she tries to matter and she does.
The
Australian Aboriginal culture gave the world the most exciting form
of contemporary art!
Aboriginal people have strength in arts
as well as sport.
One person
can make a change and help with the Aboriginal
crisis.
My
name is Aniela, I am the founder and owner of Galeria Aniela
fine art gallery and sculpture park. I was born and educated in
Poland. I created Galeria Aniela to share my passion for fine
art. I transformed 3 hectares Australian paddocks to sculptural
gardens for everyone to enjoy. I won the trust legendary
Australian artists and with their personal encouragement and
input I had the privilege and pleasure of holding their major
exhibitions including Arthur Boyd, David Boyd, John Perceval AO
and Charles Blackman and many more valuable artists. I believe
that art is vital to enhance our happiness. Generations live of
the artist’s legacy employed by museums, restaurants and cafes,
hotels, transport, souvenirs, printing and more.
Galeria Aniela specializes in the top-quality, hand-picked
Australian, Aboriginal as well as international art by important
artists.
The vision of Galeria Aniela is to increase awareness of the
significant cultural contribution of international artists and Australian
and
Aboriginal
art in particular.
Art is one
of the most viable and pleasurable investments. When you
buy art at Galeria Aniela, whether by a famous or an established
artist, you make a valuable contribution to our mission of
helping artists make a living with their creations together we
make a difference. Each sale assists us
in closing the gap between exceptional artists and global buyers
and art can carry on to tell the tale to future generations.

Why? Because she is a
very
knowledgeable person on Australian and Indigenous art and highly
respected in the art community.

Aniela Kos has an extremely
interesting history and is a woman driven to increase the
profile of the arts in Australia and world wide. She is not
afraid to take chances and to chase after her dreams. She is a
fabulous supporter of indigenous artists and continues to strive
for education and understanding between all Australians. Her
passion and vision touches everyone she meets. She is truly a
remarkable woman and would make for an excellent guest.

Aniela's dedication to the arts
and particularly Australian Aboriginal art history has led to
her producing an exhibition of Aboriginal art in the Berlin Arts
Centre in March 2007. This will be a fabulous opportunity to
showcase Australia to Europeans through a unique cultural prism.
Aniela is devoted to sharing the culture and beauty of art with
others, and has lived her life accordingly. She is a fine
ambassador for art the enrichment to our lives.

Aniela Gallery
inspires optimism and generosity of spirit. Situated in Kangaroo
valley the gallery architecture, carefully selected works of art
and kind passionate personal qualities of Aniela herself,
quarantine viewers within a reflective yet expansive, timeless
space. Aniela Kos works hard, has vision, is fun and
energetically shares what she believes. She would make a lively
guest for a good cause.

Many come to
Australia to start a new life for themselves and many are hugely
successful in their achievements, generated by brute energy and
inspired enthusiasm. In turn all this is extended to and
transferred to others. I met Aniela Kos-Ostrowski recently and
witnessed her raw passion for art. I believe she cares more
about our Aboriginal people than most Australians it is
evidenced by her goals and actions. She has exported Aboriginal
Art to the heart of art culture, one of Europe’s major art
centers, organizing a vast exhibition space of three floors,
making the works available for sale, generating interest in her
new homeland and encouraging tourist interest. She also owns
Galeria Aniela Fine Art Gallery and Sculpture Park in Kangaroo
Valley, not far from Fitzroy Falls. Situated in what used to be
three hectares of good old Aussie paddocks, her gallery is well
worth several visits. It would be encouraging to include her on
‘Enough Rope’ to explore her passions, achievements, hopes and
ideals before everything is achieved.

I visited
Galeria Aniela gallery when I was in Australia and met Aniela
Kos. She is warm, very intelligent,
witty and possibly provocative, a European intellectual of the
70-80's group with passions and definite views on Aboriginal
issues and art.

My name is Thomas Tyllack and I am the CEO manager of the
Art Centre Berlin, one of the biggest Art Centers in Europe. For
the next year we are planning a big and sensational Aboriginal
exhibition with more than 1200 square meters exhibition space.
The aim of this special exhibition is to help the Aboriginal
culture and to promote Australia. For this reason many
Australian companies will benefit. To succeed with this
important and costly project we seek Australian companies to
become partners, which mean to support the advertisement of the
exhibition and to use it for their own presentation. Also we are
asking ENOUGH ROPE program and Mr. Andrew Denton to assist in
this worthy project. Aniela Kos is the best person to talk about
this very exciting and honorable project, she is also a very
inspiring and interesting person to talk to. Aniela, the founder
and owner of Galeria Aniela Fine Art Gallery and Sculpture Park
is cooperating with the Art Centre Berlin. Aniela is a partner
and curates works for the Aboriginal exhibition.

I've visited
Aniela's Gallery. She has worked miracles to build this up in
what was an empty paddock. She's a woman with great energy.

Aniela, whilst
born outside Australia, represents the very essence of an
Australian. She is passionate about all forms of art supporting
both well known and emerging Australian artists. She deserves
our support for her single handed efforts to promote the
richness of Aboriginal art outside Australia for the benefit of
us all. Australia will be rewarded for her efforts. She is a
fantastic ambassador who deserves our support.

Galeria Aniela represents me as an artist in New South
Wales with paintings and works on paper. I met Aniela for the
first time in February 2005, when my wife was already ill with
ovarian cancer. Aniela’s passion for art became immediately
apparent, but, more importantly for me at that time, her
compassion which emerged when she heard of the situation my wife
and I were in.
During the
time between that first meeting and my wife’s death on 29 April
2006, Aniela brought us in touch with people who had been in
comparable positions and who could give us advice. She herself
suggested ways and methods to help us. In short I got to know
her as a human being with a warm and caring heart, who went far
beyond what one usually expects from a director of an art
gallery.
Her qualities in that capacity have already been
highlighted by others. I fully agree with their assessment, but
I like to emphasize her compassionate side. We are all aware of
the abuse of aboriginal artists for financial gain. With her
they are in good hands and are being well looked after, as are
the other artists represented by Aniela.

for few years now and her personality and commitment to promote Australian art never ceased to amaze me. Her hard work got her where she is now; she has transformed few acres of paddock into sculpture and art paradise in the middle of Kangaroo Valley, all by herself. Galeria Aniela worked with the best established and accomplished Australian artists like Arthur Boyd, John Perceval and Charles Blackman, just to name a few. Aniela's fascination, respect and commitment to Aboriginal art gains her endless respect and admiration of her friends, artists and clients, not only in Australia, but around the world.
