Bogdan Fialkowski received Honorary Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, Poznan, Poland in 1970. He is a successful artist since 1974, he has exhibited his works in both, Poland and Australia, has private collections in Poland, Australia and Switzerland, with one of his works being permanently displayed in the Vatican.

Bogdan received a Keyneton Award for his oil on canvas landscape 'The Devil's Marbles' in 1985 and then proceeded to join Melbourne's multicultural art circle. Inspired by the rich colours of the australian landscape, Bogdan adopted the pallete of ochre, yellow and red often contrasted with his favourite cearuleum and cobalt.

Bogdan's fascination with female nude led to a huge collection that is both seductive and sensual. These nudes are carefully placed in mysterious and natural environments as in the landscape of their own. Bogdan's paintings are characteristically full of texture, surprising colour and composition.

There is a substantial shift in Bogdan's work shown on his original webpage "25 years in Australia". New form and composition become apparent, the attention to detail is distinctive. New paitings are grouped, each telling a different story. "Symbiosis" family with its colours
and twin composition are a suprising to the writing of a talein pictures. "Storm" sequence seduces with background and detailed nudes in an extreme contrast of hues. When compared with beautifully executed but somewhat conventional "Devil's Marbles", "Sunrise" lead's to Bogdan's latter affair with the Australian landscape showing a level of maturity, expertise and confidence. Here the artist investigates both typical Australian detial as well as the colour, the depth and the light of the desert. The "Journey" sequence has the artist finally venturing into his vision of Australia. His penetrating eye decisively participates in the exploration of the landscape he now calls his own.

The roots of Bogdan Fialkowski work is in Expressionism and New Figuration.  His paintings reflect the post-modern era, with all its characteristics concerns and attitudes capturing the artist's emotional depth and his feeling for natural aspects of life. He is a figurative, still-life and landscape painter, working in oil. Fialkowski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan where he was awarded a Master's Degree in 1979. He worked as an assistant in Professor Kempinski's Painting and the  Composition Studio. Fialkowski worked also on restoration of 17th and 18th century Churches throughout Poland.

Bogdan Fialkowski designed and constructed the Swiss Pavilion for the Poznan International Exhibition for Hilti of Switzerland. In 1980-1981 at the Dusseldorf International Exhibition Fialkowski prepared a display to demonstrate a new technique of painting using fiberglass & paint.
