The dreamtime story of Ilyarn or Ilyarnayt, a variety of acacia, liked for the abundance of edible grubs living in the roots, known as Ilyarnayt (or witchetty) and also its seeds (ntang ilyarnayt) which are ground into a paste and used for making damper (bread). In this painting, Lily depicts the leaves of this plant and the seeds by use of fine dot work.

Kame Pencil yam seeds Dreamtime belongs to Maureen’s country Alhalkere in the Utopia Region. In the Dreamtime there are two parts, and two different seeds were born that created two different species of pencil yam; one called Atnwelarr which belongs to Maureen’s country, and the other called Arlatyeye which belongs to Arnumarra country.

Maureen uses soft dot work and beautiful colours to represent the kame story. This style in individual to  Maureen Kame story which is a major Dreamtime story for her country and her people.
